Fixing Stuff around Yourself
Start by doing what’s necessary,
then do what’s possible and
suddenly you are doing the impossible
On this weekend, Amal Academy assigned an activity called “Fixing Stuff around Yourself” is about taking Responsibility without authority.
I usually fix stuff around my surroundings before starting my work but in winters I become lazy. Now I was doing my Amal project I learned a lot about leadership skills. While working on the project “Everyday Leadership: How to Lead without Authority” I realized my surroundings were a little messy. Our task was to look around our surroundings and question what we need to fix or change. When I looked around at first I didn’t see anything that needed to be fixed but then I looked again. I saw some things on the sofa that might need to be fixed or placed orderly.
Then I made my sofa clean and placed books and a laptop in their proper place in manner. After fixing these little things I realized how better my surrounding looked. I felt more comfortable and organized, as I usually don’t have those well-kept surroundings
Fixing stuff around you without someone asking you is a good thing. Especially when it helps other people, it will make you feel better. I think fixing small messy stuff around you is a small step towards a better surrounding.
The objective of cleaning is not just to clean, but to feel happiness living within that environment.
